Es war nur eine Frage der Zeit bis aus der Asche der Dischord-Helden Faraquet und Smart went crazy ein neues Projekt entstehen würde. Bereits 2003 fanden sich David Ocampo (Ex-Faraquet) und Andrew Becker (ex-Smart Went Crazy) über eine Lokalanzeige und die Chemie stimmte von Beginn an. Unter wechelnden Namen und mit wechelnden Bassisten erspielten sie sich eine lokale Fanbasis bevor David's ehemaliger Faraquet-Bandkollege Chad Molter zur Band stieß und man sich auf den Namen Medications einigte. Tief verwurzelt in Dischord-Traditionen legen Mediactions nun ihre Debüt-CD vor: eine Melange aus treibenden Rhythmen, Bassakrobatik und unverwechelbaren Gitarrenhooks, wie sie nur im Schmelztigel der DC-Szene gemixt werden kann. Als Produzent zeichnet niemand geringerer als Brendan Canty (Fugazi) verantwortlich. Das Ergebnis ist emotionaler Rock mit Punk-und PostRock-Verweisen, wie sie von den frühen Q And Not U, Burning Airlines oder Faraquet zur Perfektion getrieben wurden. Medications sind damit ein neuer Stern am DC-Himmel und für Fans ein Muss. Klassische DC-Dischord Band mit frischem, innovativen Sound.

The recording of the new Medications album, Completely Removed, documents a new phase for the band with Chad and Devin (ex-Faraquet) covering all the writing and most of the instrumental duties following the departure of drummer Andrew Becker. Not surprisingly Completely Removed represents a bit of a departure from the band's signature off kilter rockers. This is not to say they have lost their edge. In fact, the new material dives headlong into new musical territory with thrilling results.
